The Appleton Housing Authority (AHA) is pleased to provide you with this guide of information on our Housing Choice Voucher Subsidy Program. The voucher program offers rental assistance that is paid directly to the owners and/or property managers, on behalf of qualified low income participants.

Under contract with HUD, the AHA provides rental assistance to more than 500 families through out the city of Appleton. The Appleton Housing Authority administers this program under the regulations and guidelines of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

In preparing this Owner Guide, we have attempted to identify and address the most important and basic issues concerning the Housing Choice Voucher Program as well as share with you the facts and some advice on commonly overlooked and misunderstood areas of assisted rental programs.
